RPG Basement - Fake wall for the TV

The basement already had a wall mount for a TV, so why not add one to the fold? Having a TV they will be able to have larger maps or other material on display for everyone to see. That all sounds good and such but turns out hiding a TV is not the easiest thing in the world, especially if you want it to match the rest of the room.
In the end, I figured we could "simply" build a fake wall to hide all the TV background, and disguise the TV itself as a picture.
The wall didn't have to be too deep as we were using a flatscreen TV with a somewhat narrow mount. The structure we assembled consist of 2x4 as we already had a lot of those around and they turned out to be the right depth.
Any person who is a carpenter etc. just skip this part as I most likely broke all the rules of building some form of structure.
Anyhow, here is how I pieced together the structure:
I constructed the frame by utilizing the 2x4 as a spacer between the frame and the original wall, as it
seemed to be just the right amount for the TV.
I then added vertical beams at each end and around the TV.
For stabilities sake, I also added horizontal beams at the top and bottom of each opening as well as around the TV opening, and arbitrarily throughout the other two openings.

The extra "bits" of wood you see are there to add some space for me to shape and paint some "rock spots" as there won't be any original wall directly beneath the new drywall.
I then followed the same principle as the other walls to add drywall and "rock spots". Now I just need to spackle and paint everything. - One day this will be done... I think/hope.
Extra Credit
I added a little mouse hole in the wall, to give that "hidden Mickey" a place to escape.😄
